I have 2 dvd players and a sony surround system. the amp only has one input for the Digital Audio Coaxial Lead from the DVD. Is there a lead or box I can get so I can wire both DVDs to the amp so I can get 5.1 from either?

Yes, you need an optical switch.
Something like this

Andy, assuming both your DVD players have optical outputs, Berny's idea will work except that optical switch's output is optical. You need a coax feed, not optical. You could use an optical switcher with its output going into an optical to coax converter.

It seems strange to me that there are few, if any straight 2 in 1 out digital coax (S/PDIF) switchers that areen't $100 or more. I wondering if you can get by with an ordinary composite video switch. Might work, but I havn't tried it.
