I have a satellite recvr w/optical audio only connect and a a/v recvr with optical and coaxial connect and a dvd player with coaxial connect only.
Should I run both an optical cable from the satellite recvr and a coaxial cable from the dvd player to the a/v recvr ?
Or is only one digital cable needed form one or the other sat. / dvd player to the a/v recvr? |

You need to connect both.
Otherwise, I'm not sure how you would expect to get audio from both components to your receiver. |
