I have two different set-ups recommended in a room that is about 17x11 and would appreciate any input:

Option #1

Pioneer Elite VSX-74TXVI
Def Tech Mythos One Floor Speakers
Def Tech Mythos Three Center Channel
Def Tech Multi-directional Surrounds
Def Tech Supercube 2

Option #2:

Denon 4306
Bay Audio Bebop (fronts)
Bay Audio Jam Center
Bay Audio Mini Cube Satellites
Bay Audio Cube Subwoofer

Samsung 56" S5687WX

Mostly will be used for television and movies. About 5% or 10% music. Any opinions or different gear I should consider would be appreciated.

I would suggest first listening to any speakers you are considering buying. Auditioning speakers will be much more helpful to you than asking for subjective opinions from others who likely have different tastes.

I'm just curious, but is there any reason why the Pioneer couldn't be used with the Bay Audio speakers or the Denon with the Def Techs?

I like Denon, the 4306 is loaded. I also like Paradigm speakers, but the Def Techs are also nice never heard of the Bay Audio's.

Thanks. Nathan, there is no reason why I cannot mix and match the receivers and speakers.
