I hooked up my LG DVD player to my new HP plasma with HDMI. I was very suprised at the poor quality. I saw moving pixels and very bad detail compared to my old Mintek with S-Video.......I thought HDMI was supposed to be the best........Any thoughts? Should i return the LG to try another?

Are you sure it is configured properly? Try to put your DVD player in a progressive scan mode and make sure the output is digital if the option exists.
