I have a Comcast HDTV DVR that I just picked up last week. I've been trying to record some programs while I am at work and while I am asleep. Of course I leave the DVR powered on, but I turn off the TV. The programs will record, but will not save to the DVR hard drive. I tried to record a program and left the TV on, and the program was saved to the hard drive. I contacted Comcast support and the answer they offered me was "that's weird". Anyone else have a Comcast DVR and experienced this problem? My parents have the exact same DVR and cable service, and this is not a problem for them.
