I've recently inherited a pretty old Bose Lifestyle 5 Acoustimass system (sans cables). I'd like to use the speakers with some kind of media center pc, or similar - does anybody know if I have to use the Bose control center, or can I connect the PC directly into the Acoustimass sub? There's a an additional system control connector that's making me nervous.

Also, is the weird multi-pin input cable (pardon my newbness) for the Acoustimass unit available from anywhere besides Bose?
