have you ever seen the back of an HP LC3700N? Good lord, it's almost all inputs. And it has every input type known to man. My problem is I want to use the cablecard slot. So I had Adelphia come put one in. The problem began when I tried to output the audio to a Philips Home theater system. NO SOUND. The Philips only has the standard two RCA jacks for L/R. No matter what output I choose on the HP TV no sound comes out. Of course, there is sound thru the TVs OEM attached speakers when they are on. But I want to use the surround system. Now there is an optical audio output port on the TV. I wonder if that is where I should tap into to get sound out? In order to do that however, I will need an optical in to rca out converter box. Why is this so complicated? Can anyone figure this out. I want to get rid of the ugly Adelphia HDTV STB on the floor...
