Having done a great deal of research i have settled on purchasing either a Denon S101 or S301. The next step is to get value for money. US prices seem to cheaper than UK prices. Can anyone advise whether the US product is compatible with use in the UK?

It will be compatible if it does'nt have a dvd player. American dvd's are ntsc and european are pal, I know myself, Im from England and recently moved to the u.s. and all my dvd player's dont work!!!
But if it doesnt hav a dvd player then it will work all you av to do is buy a power converter from 110v (U.S. standard) to 220v (European standard) the cost about 20 quid so they aint too expensive. I had to buy a power conveter when i was still living in England, because i bought a sub from the U.S. cus it was so much cheaper, then my dad said you cant just use a differnt plug u hav to buy a power converter.

So yes it will work as long as you dont intend on using it as a dvd player!!!
