I'm pretty new to the whole Home Theater thing and decided not to buy a Home Theater in a Box audio system. After a lot of reading and researching throughout this forum, I came up with the following setup for my home theater and I was wondering if someone who knows about this stuff can chime in with some help/comments/suggestions.

My theater room is about 11.5'W x 11.5'L x 8'H and it will be used mostly for movies.

Here's my system as of right now..

Athena Point5 System MK II Surround Speakers System ($200)
Dayton 10" Sub-100 125 Watt Powered Subwoofer ($125)
Panasonic SA-XR55S Receiver ($230)

And for the DVD player I am having trouble deciding between these two (if you can suggest one, that would be great)

OPPO OPDV971H Digital HD-DVD Player ($200)
or
Panasonic DVD-S77S DVD Player ($215)

Basically I just wanted to know what you guys think about this setup and if it would all go well together and be compatible. Any comments/criticisms/suggestions would be great.. Thanks!

The OPPO is top rated but only has DVI out; no HDMI. I was torn between it and the Panny S97. I went with the S97 and love it.
