I am trying to hook my game systems using an hd system selector.
http://hardware.gamespot.com/Story-ST-13904-1247-x-x-x

It comes with
# 1 each: AV/S-Video Cable
# 1 each: Component Cable

I am trying to hook my playstation 2 and gamecube into it. Since it comes with component cables, will I be able to play games in 480p? I have a tv that is capable of doing that.

I don't know how to set it up. The manual makes no sense to me and is now missing. Any help?

You can only get progressive signals if your sources are progressive scan output capable. If your games are capable of playing in progressive scan mode, then you should be able to see it in higher definition, if not then you won't

OK. I am still unsure how to actually hook it up to get a picture. The provied links shows the front and back of the system.

The component cable included is blue red and green on both ends of the cable.

I don't know how to make it work. It says no need to plug it in.

Do both your PS2 and GC come with component cables?

If they do, then you just connect that to the switch. Then from the switch, you connect component cables to the TV's component inputs.

No, they are regular composite cables. I have plenty of inputs. But when I first got it, I didn't.

So I'm guessing progressive scan picture?

I guess I have to buy ps2 component cables.
