i tried connection the DVD to the TV using the 3-jack component video, but the display dosen't come. but if i try connecting using the single cable from the monitor out to the TV it is working ... for connecting teh 3-jack component video is enough right? plz help...

Some times you must turn on the output either on the DVD player or the input on the TV. Also, make sure your connections are good, some higher end component cables are very "stiff" when they are first used. Applying gentle pressure with a twisting motion helps alot when making the connections.
