I have the Samsung LNR408D TV hooked up to Samsung's HT-WP38 surround sound receiver. When watching programming from an off-air antenna (Terk HDTVa antenna pro) the sound coming out of the surround sound speakers skips. Prime example, watching the Rose Bowl in High Definition, the broadcaster would call out a players name and it would skip out for a second or two and you would miss what they were saying. This doesn't happen when the sound is coming straight out of the television's speakers. Does anyone know of a setting to fix this? Is this is a common problem?

I'm having the same sort of trouble. When my new HDTV is on the HDMI input - the sound cuts out intermittently. The same satellite signal is also coming in on another output without HDMI & it works fine with no cutting out.
Very frustrating.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Just got a tip. I changed the mode on my audio receiver from "pro logic" to "matrix." I was also told "cinema" mode is a good choice too. It seems to have improved my audio problems.
