We have hooked up our new Sony Dream System DAV-FX80 only to discover that it has compromised the quality of the HD picture - it is now not as clear. Any ideas? Thanks! |

While this may not solve your problem it is worth a shot. Many systems nowdays allow you to hook mulitple source through the receiver so that it will act as a switch (kinda a way to add more inputs).I always try to hook the connections directly into item that will be recieving the signal in order to limit possible signal loss. Check your connections to make sure none are loose. The only other thing that comes to mind is some receivers are "HD Compatible" when it comes to the component inputes (Red, Green, Blue at 80 Mhz i believe), just make sure your receiver is compatible if you wish to use it as a switch. Hope this helped, and good luck! |

Check your settings to make sure that DVD output is set to digital and progressive scan.

Do not use the Sony as a go between your DVD player and your TV/Monitor. Connect the video outputs directly to the TV. Leave the audio to the receiver for digital decoding. The Dream System is just that, it makes make you dream for a better system |
