i have a liteon dvdrecorder and a hd dish network sat.receiver with optical outputs and i would like to connect them to my insignia IS-HCO40917 receiver which has only one optical input. right now i have to unplug one ane plug in the other. is there any splitters or something i can use

yes you can get an optical output switch.
