hi, i have a toshiba dvd-player (Sd-3900) and a sony surround sound reciever (STR-de945), they are connected through a digital coax cable. Everything plays fine through the system, stereo, dobly digital and all, except for DTS. Both units say they are DTS compatible, but whenver i try to play a dts disc, no sound comes through. I havent found anything in the sony reciever menu to activate dts, nor in the dvd player menu (through setup without a disc in). I'm curious if anyone could try and help me out with this

Go to the main menu of your DVD player without a disc in the tray.

Go to the set up "Digital Audio Output". Select "Stream PCM". That should activate the DTS flagged DVDs that you are using.

Let me know how it turns out.

Good luck.
