Trying to connect a new Panasonic home theater (HT830V DVD/VCR combo) with my Samsung 56" TV (HL-R5667W) and my HD Receiver/DVR.

But for the life of me, I can't get it hooked up where the sound is in sync with the video on the TV. I read some old articles that talk about lag issues with the Samsung TV's, but those were usually older. My TV is just a couple months old.

I have hooked it up just about every way I can think of short of sending the TV video out to the Panasonic system, but I don't think I can do that, because I am sending a video signal back from the DVR to the TV.

I think it works ok if I watch the video through the system, too; but then the HD channels don't come through as clear. So I'd rather watch the HD channels through the TV & just use the receiver for the sound.

I don't know if this is making sense or not. I'm tempting to just return this system. Wonder if I can even though I opened it. Ugh!!
