I got them from www.fluance.com they come in the Sx-htb package. I paid about $400us for 5 speakers and had them delivered to my door

You sure could use a better receiver with those Fluance speakers. I would recommend Harman Kardon if you like a warm sound, or Onkyo if you like brightness. Either way, if you move up from the Sony receiver, your speakers sure will sound better

Old post, no doubt.

Great suggestion, Matt.

DVD player looks cheap, too.

the receiver was handed to me for free from a friend. Not sure if he stole it or not, i never asked. I would love to upgrade the reciever, but i dont have the cash at the moment. paying for college and living is hard to do.

The xmas lights are much better then no lights. When i was living there i had no lights on the ceiling and i had no lamps, but i had a box full of xmas lights from my mom. So they made good lamps.

As for the dvd player. If i got a better one i dont think i would notice a difference with the current tv i have so it stays and if i remember right i think i got it from walmart.

The PA sub is really good. After a small problem i had with it, (open box special, the connection was not working properly) i returned it and got a new one. My neighbours hated me :-) I dont think i have ever hit it full blast as of yet mostly because i try to respect my neighbours or the poor guy that lived below me :-)

I am currently moved home *hangs head in shame* and have not set it up yet

I would raise the side and rear speakers then recalibrate all speakers but other wise all is good. Who cares if equipment is old or brand new, if it sounds good to you, that's all that matters. I still have an old receiver from 15-20 yrs ago I use in a upstairs bdrm, it still rocks.
