At high volume, the sound cuts out. This happens when you just turn the volume up, or if you're watching something (like a drama) that suddenly has a loud section, like gunshots. Once the volume drops, the sound comes back on. This hasn't always happened, and has just started in the last couple of weeks. It doesn't matter whether you're just listening to the radio, or watching a DVD, or listening to a CD. Any thoughts? Although we bought the receiver a couple of years ago, we only picked it up, took it out of the box, and installed it in our new house about 5 months ago. I've read the other posts on this board about popping noises, and lack of sound from certain speakers, but our situation is different - no pops, all speakers cut out. Any thoughts? |

my only thought is that your power supply or amp is bad or going out. could be a factory defect. depending on the problem it could be $200-400 to fix. |
