Iam trting to hook up my dvd player to my tv using component video cables, however i cant get the picture to work right, ex. i will get a green picture or something like that. any help??? |

its the cable or the plug... i had that happen with my Sharp 32" CRT and i found out that the plugs on the TV were broken inside from yanking on the cable too hard. |

i have read elsewhere that this is some type of fault but I have to agree I think almost certainly cable. I even had that happen on my VGA to projector... if you tap it you would get a reddish picture or greenish picture. fiddleing with the cabel fixed it. |

Start by plugging in the cables one at a time and look at the pictuer. You should be able to indentify which cable has a short. You can then run another RCA cable between the two ports and make sure before you spend money on another set.
