I have a new Denon 2910 and a KDF-50We655

Which output on the DVD player should I use. HDMI or the component video.

My understanding is that if I use the HDMI I am using the TV's processor to convert to analog and if I use the component I am using the Denon's chipset? Help me out.

I have done comparisons and see differences but one is not necessarily better than another. Thanks in advance.

Try using HDMI. www.monoprice.com has some less expencive cables that I use. Less mess behind your tv when you have fewer cables.
