Hey I recently got some new speakers and I was wondering if I could hook them up to my cable box. What would be the cheapest way to do this. The speakers have the little red and black things to put wire into on the back of them. (Sorry I don't know much about this stuff) I have them hooked up to a receiver and I also have one of those 2 prong audio cords (red and white)

Joe:
You should plug the red/white cord into the right/left audio out on the cable box. The other end of the cord should be plugged into any input on the receiver (except phono). You then select that input on the receiver. You should hear audio from the channel selected on the cable box.
