I used a very low end COBY subwoofer-amplified 5.1 system before, getting analog 5.1 surroung sounds. But after I bot the SONY HTT-DDW670 5.1 system, all my DVD movie sound outputs are detected as 2 channels only, including those DVD I was able to get 5.1 analog surround sound. The sony receiver is digital, but my DTS dvds all can't get the dolby effect, i already check hardware connection, it's correct, any one know what's the problem? Thanks!

Check your DVD player settings and make sure that the digital output is not set to PCM or any setting that would downconvert a 5.1 Dolby Digital signal into a 2 channel PCM signal. Also, what DVD player are you using? - Reinhart |
