Hi, i'm thinking about buying a surround sound system, but first i need to make sure it will work.
Here's what i HAVE:
TV/VCR combi with only 1 SCART and 1 coaxial ariel socket and headphone socket.
I have an XBOX and Portable DVD player, but this doesn't have any outputs really. I have a SCART 3 adapter so i connect my XBOX and DVD to my TV via SCART.
I thought about buying a VHS recorder with 2 SCART sockets so i could run all my audio and video through it and connect my surround to a SCART socket by RCA (phone white/red) but i don't know if this would be posible. I could easily settle for surround from my XBOX only, but i would prefer it from my TV.
Someone mentioned to me that he had heard of a system where you can plug the surround into a headphone socket, but I would imagine this would only achieve stereo and not 5.1??
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It MUST be posible? but how much it would cost.... i don't know!
