I am having problems producing surround sound out of my Skysonic Amplifier. Currently I am only getting two channels of sound.
The Amplifier is only capable of producing Surround Sound through 6 discreet analog inputs on the rear of the unit.
The DVD player in use ( Digitrex 2700 ) has 6 discreet analog outputs along with digital audio outputs.
In order to get the analog outputs working on the DVD player to give 5.1 channels of sound, what do I set the SPDIF outputs to?

There are three choices, Off, Raw and PCM.

Does the SPDIF setting make any difference to the Analog outputs?
Should I set the SPDIF setting to PCM to activate the extra channels in the Analog outputs?
