my soundcard http://www.soundblaster.com/products/audigy2NX/ has four 1/8in. outputs for 7.1 surround sound
i only will use three for 5.1 surround sound, but that's moot
my question is, can i use (1/8in. to dual rca y-adapters http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5 F007%5F002%5F003%5F009&product%5Fid=42%2D2550&site=search )to connect the three 1/8in. outputs to my six seperate 5.1 inputs(front left, right, center, rear left, right, subwoofer)

That is what I did, and it seems to work fine. I only use it for music, though--I don't know if it works fully for DVD surround |
