I have a sony 5 disk dvd changer that is hooked up through a digital coax to my sony str-de485 receiver. The dvd player LED on the front shows that the movie is playing in Dolby Digital like i selected, but the receiver ALWAYS shows that it is decoding pro logic only. Am I missing some kind of step here?

The receiver is showing the right input source (coax), but it says it will determine the type of signal and the light should change. This never happens! It always shows pro logic no matter if the dvd is DD or not. Please help hehe.
I can give anymore info as needed.

tom,
A couple of years ago I had the same problem while setting up my brother's new Sony 5-disc. You have to go into the player's setup menu and enable DTS and DD. Otherwise, the only signal that comes out is stereo, regardless of what the player's readout says.
