I have a solution for creating a TV stand that fits around the usable space under a Samsung 5685. I purchased 2 TX27 cabinets with doors and mounted some hardware under the feet of the stands. This elevated the stands over the glass base by about 1/4 th an inch. The Cabinets are grey so the match the exterior of the pedistal supporting the screen. It looks good and I will send pictures upon request. The doors are smoked glass and look very natural under the TV.
