I am a newbie at this and need some advise. I just bought a Onkyo HT-S780 system and have set it up. I have heard that the speaker wires should be upgraded. I did buy 16g for the 2 back speakers because the amount of wire that was included was not enough. I would like to know the sizes that would be best for the remaining 5 speakers. Thank you. Mike

This gives you an idea of how long your speaker wire can be at a particular gauge before you start running into significant power loss (5% or more).

Unless you have long runs of wire, 16 gauge is probably fine.
