My Yamaha rx-v392 receiver keeps turning off 2 seconds after i turn it on.
I keep checking the connections but they are all fine.
1 of the turning knobs to hold the speaker wire in the back of the receiver is broke and wont turn but that isnt the cause of this because i have held it in place while trying the receiver and still turns off right away.
Anyone have any suggestions on what could be done to fix this?
It cost alot of money and i cant even use it
Thanks alot for any help

If I were you I'd be removing wires a set at a time until the unit stays on. Apparently there is a short somewhere in the wiring. I assume that you have been visually checking the connections?

Another possibility (unlikely imho) is that the electrical outlet simply does not have enough current for the unit (if you have tons of things hooked up to it). My bet is a short though.
