I have a dvd that reads dolby digital but rear speakers don't respond well.Is it because it isn't dolby digital 5.1? I use a ht-05 panasonic reciever and If it's a dvd like Starwars then I get good rear speaker response but with this older dvd It just shows two speakers on the display and when i push the prologicII Button, I get some rear speaker but very faint and not really routed like with the star wars movie with dd 5.1 .Isn't the prologic button for making regular dolby digital more like 5.1 (synthetic 5.1).
What I get when I push the prologic button is faint sound in the rear speakers which is voice and sound effects. It sounds like the soundtrack is mono but in all speakers. Is this the limitation to regular dolby digital. From what the manual states"the prologic can make surround to a regular stereo source"

you could check the specs of the DVD and see how it was recorded.

My receiver does an excellent job of creating 5.1 in Pro Logic 2.
