Friend who just moved is trying to hook up his TV, separate vcr, dvd, surround speakers and tuner. It all worked fine at last apt.
Now there is a humming in the tuner that he can't seem to resolve.
Any suggestions how to fix this?

Humming is coming from the speakers whenever tuner is on. Attempts to unplug and test each speaker separately to isolate the problem did not work.
Could this be caused by a bad speaker wire or interference on the line?
What do you think? |

ground loop. try unplugging cable tv line from wall outlet and see if hum goes away. let us know |

The cable in the apt. is not hooked up yet and the hum is still there. |
