Hi I have just purchased a new tv. To go with it, I have installed an external aerial, I now have a SD set top box, all in one home theatre with DVD and speakers. The only old piece of equipment I intend to use is the VCR. Pardon my lack of knowledge but when it comes to audio and visual I am a real dope. Could some one please help with all my cable connections. After looking forward to this I am now feeling very frustrated. Here is a list of the connections I have: TV :- video and audio both in and out (yellow, white, red) video and audio in (yellow, white, red) Component in Y, Pb, Pr (green, blue, red) AV3 S video, Video and audio (yellow, white, red) Antenna in. Set top box:- RF in, RF out, TV Scart, L and R (white and red) video (yellow), SPDIF (black) Dvd/home theatre:- 2 x audio in/out (white/red), coax, optical, CVBS, S Video, Pr/Cr (red), Pb/Cb (black) Y/Y (green), FM and AM ant. VCR :- 2 x audio in/out, RF Out, Ant in Ideally i would prefer to have tv and dvd sound coming through the home theatre speakers. It would be great if I could also get the VCR sound to come through the same speakers although I would be happy if it came through the tv. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks Nick

Rick, There are numerous different ways you can connect your system to make it do what you want. I'd suggest starting by reading your receiver manual to get the ball rolling. |
