okay my dad and i need helping plugging in our magnavox dvd player into our new panasonic 42" widescreen plasma EDTV w/HDMI and component video inputs. we have everything else working but we can not watch our dvd's....please help!

Check your DVD menu and make certain you set it up according to the type of connection you are using. Also check your tv settings. Are you not getting any picture or just a distorted one when watching DVDs?
