I just bought this system and performs excellent except for Dolby Digital 2.0
Whenever I watch digital OTA channels, not in hi def, the audio constantly drops out for a second or two using dolby 2.0 digital over an optical cable. When hi def comes on the problem goes away using 5.1 dd. No problem with dvd using optical cable either. Has anyone experienced this or have a solution? I am using the exact same cables as on my previous RCA receiver and never had this happen. Thank you in advance

Hmm. Only audio drop out problems I know of are in the TX-DS series. Before returning, be aware that FOX channel has had reports of DD 2.0 drop outs OTA but not on DD 5.1. Can you isolate if a single channel is cause or verify with another receiver?

I'll be darned. The wife watches Raymond and Seinfeld repeats on Fox and the audio drops out constantly. No problem on on the other channels. I do not have another receiver to verify, but I am certain there is nothing wrong with the Onkyo.
