Is it better to place your center speaker directly over your television OR, directly under? I'm finishing off a built in setup and was curious what people thought.

I prefer, and most of what I've read recommends over. At the end of the day, go with what you think sounds best.

I think it would be wise to put it on top of the TV as the Mid/tweeter is at ear level and if not tilt it so its at ear level direcly pointing at your ears or 2/3's of the room

(using a meter stick placed on top of the ceneter channel helps with placement at this step)

As I said, it's supposed to be better to put it on top. Sometimes it's not practical to do it, especially with some larger centre speakers. They have some short speaker stands that go in front of your screen and angle it up.
