First, I apologize if this has been posted already. I am at my wits end. My problem is I am getting full surround sound when I play DVDs but no sound is coming from my TV speakers. Its so annoying and I feel like I have tried everything. I just spent another $40 on monster cables to try and connect from the receiver to the TV with no luck. Out of all the combos I tried, the best I could do was get a humming sound from my TV with one of the combiniations (sounds like I am plugging a guitar into an amp). I have a panasonic rear projection 53" and a fairly crappy Kenwood home theater. Any help would be muc appreciated. My components are the TV, digital cable box, DVD and receiver. Help me please

did you connect an optical digital or coaxial digital from your dvd audio out to your amp/receiver? then you can connect rca left/right (white/red) cables from your dvd audio out to your tv. |

Do you mean you get no sound from your TV when you are watching a TV program?
