I have this recevier for about 6 years. I finally hooked up 6 Channel Direct from the DVD player w/ S Video - looks great sounds great. I am wondering what the Coax and Digital Out even do? The manual doesn't even say what kind of singal (A or V) either one carries. I searched on the web but came up with no "real" answers. Any ideas if I even need to use these outputs? And if so, for what? Thanks in advance for all your help, CM |

Both of those are used for 5.1 dolby digital or dts or some form of surround sound. You need a receiver that has those inputs to utilize this feature. |

My revceiver does have those inputs! I am wondering if I need to use them, and if so how? What signals do they carry? Better to go with Optical over coaxial? I have no clue.... |
