Hello, Well, I think I've pretty much decided to get this HTIB set: http://product.samsung.com/cgi-bin/nabc/product/b2c_product_detail.jsp?eUser=&pr od_id=HT-WP38TH%2fXAA&selTab=Features I have a question on install though. I have a 2005 Samsung DLP and the new Samsung HD-950 HDMI DVD Player. Right now, I don't have speakers or receiver. This will be my first. I have the HD-950 hooked up straight to the TV via HDMI. If I get this set, what would be the best connection method? I'm thinking, the HD-950 has optical audio output and this Samsung HTIB has an optical audio input. If I just get an optical cable and connect the DVD player to this system, would it work even though I only have the one HDMI connection to the TV? This HTIB set acts as both a DVD player and A/V receiver. I don't want to use the DVD player and would really like to continue using the HD-950. Sorry, a bit confused and want to be sure before I buy. Any help appreciated... Thanks, -- mike |
