I recently purchased a new Sony HT-6900DP system, which includes the DVD player. I have Comcast Digital Cable and a Sony 51" HiDef TV.
I have the DVD audio out going to the coax audio in on the HT system. Since I connected it the other day, I have not had any sound out of my "surround sound" speakers. I only get sound out of my Front L/R and the sub woofer. Have only hooked up with DVD player so far.
Any ideas? Anyone have problems like this? |

Tim,
Based on that amount of information, it could be any number of things.
Double check your receiver settings to make certain you've activated everything. Go into your DVD player setup menu and also make sure it's properly configured.
Also, read your manual again. Whatever it is.....it's something very simple.

Paul, thank you. Yeah, not a lot of information, sorry about that. Things I have not tried yet, configuring my new Sony DVD/cd player for digital/dts. I have not tried listening to FM stereo with the other speakers connected. So, it could be a number of things right now.
I will post more if I learn more tonight. |
