Hi I am new to home cinema and have just bought a panasonic SCHT520. my question is is there a way to enjoy the benefits of dolby pro logic (inc2) through my satalite box and games console so I can enjoy the superior sound quality over my televison or am I living in cloud cookoo land. I have wired seperate systems before but this is all new to me Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance Tristian |

Sorry forgot to say my eqipment is Goodmans 2/TW28D11 (It was very cheap) Panasonic SC-HT520. Home Cinema Package Panasonic video player recorder Playstation2 NTL Cable box (one of the new silver ones) Soon To be replaced by a sky box

according to your specs sheet, your receiver does not have digital inputs, its internal dvd player is it's only digital source. Hense the only pure surround sound you can hear is from your dvd. I you had a different receiver with digital inputs, PS2 has a mudule that has digital outputs on it. Unfortunately NTL doesn't ID thier manuals as "one of the new silver ones" in their online repository so i cant tell if it has a digital output on it or not. \ Point is really moot, as you would have to have a new receiver to use it. |
