Hi, I have a Sony DE1075 6.1 Channel Receiver and it recently started not decoding digital. I have an optical cable hooked up from the DVD to the receiver and it has worked in the past. I did configure all the DVDs to DD and still it only goes to prologic. It says 48kmz PCM doesnt digital have to be 96? and if so how would i change it back or can a cable go badly? If anyone could help it would be much appreciated. |

Yes optical cables can be damaged. Try the coax digital output (if your DVD has one). You can do this temporarily by using a standard rca cable-almost every one has some of these lying around. If no coax output, you may try replacement of optical cable, but make certain you have return privileges. |

Try setting your DVD to Dolby Digital output and not PCM output. |
