I am trying to set up a Hitachi 46W500 surround sound system to my tv, and i also want to run it through the dvd player (built in). Sadly, for some reason, the tv AND the dvd player apparently have no a/v out, only in... Anything I can do? |

Zak,
If your tv/DVD combo unit has no 5.1 DD outputs to connect to your receiver, you're 'surround sound' out of luck while watching movies.
DVD players are cheap. If I were you, I'd spend $100 and buy a separate DVD player so you can connect it directly to your receiver for DVD surround sound purposes. |
