I was wondering, if I am using digital coax for audio out from my DVD to RCVR, is there any reason that I should also hook up the analog lines. The instruction manual showes both being used, but I don't think I need to if using coax. If anybody could point me in the right direction I would greatly appriciate it.

No you do not need to connect the audio analog lines. I currently have my DVD setup with just component going from DVD to TV and audio going from DVD digital coax to the digital coax on the RCVR. Works perfect.
