I'm new here so please bare with my lack of HiFi knowledge. Here is the system that I have:
TV = Toshiba 34HF83 Widescreen
DVD = Samsung DVD-HD931
A/V Receiver = Sony STR-DE895
Satellite Speakers = Infinity TSS-450 5.1
First off, yes this is a entry level setup for an average user. I am not an audio/videophile either and $$ was/is a factor. It has not yet been hooked up either. What do you think?
The TV and the DVD are DVI compatible. I was wondering for all you gurus, How do I connect the TV and DVD to my receiver knowing that I will intend on using a DVI cable? Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. TIA. |

You should use the toslink cable from the dvd and tv to the receiver. that will give you 5.1
surround sound. The dvi cable can be used from the dvd to the tv. |
