I was thinking of getting a Goodmans GDC56PRO amp and speakers, however it seems to have phono inputs x4, yet the specs say it can output dolby digital as well as Prologic. How is this, I thought digital could only be transferred by optical or coax. I`d appreciate any help on this.

never heard of that Goodman model. Are you sure that's what you have? 4 phono inputs doesn't seem right either. Do you mean analouge inputs with RCA connectors?
