Hi all,

I just got a free Panasonic SBTP10 and dont really know much about surround sound systems. I was wondering if it is possible to hook these bare wires i got with it up to my DVD player which has a built in dolby and DTS decoder but only RCA sockets instead of having to but a receiver?

Just seems stupid to me that I need an extra box which costs a fairly hefty price when all I want is something that changes the audio input.

Cheers.

No can do. May be "stupid" but that is exactly what you need to do to achieve surround sound. DVD player is not designed to power speakers.
