i got a new dvd player went to connect it to my tv via scart lead but the picture was in black and white when i switched the scarts at the back of my tv the vcr was in black and white.please help me

Does your tv have component or S-video input? If so, try that and get back to us.

I'm not a scart expert because I've never used them, but arent scart connections the worst available??
