I am looking in getting a 7.1 system. The receiver i was looking at says it can turn any 5.1 or 6.1 movies into a 7.1 system or whatever? This true? does a 7.1 system not sound as good as a 6.1 will? Any help will help me greatly. Also i just recently did a post about similar things below. I appreciate all feedback. thanks..

Most 7.1 systems take 5.1 signals and take the surrond channels and send them to both the surrond and rear surrond channels, and take 6.1 signal and send the rear channel info to both the rear surronds.
