I have read that you should slit the signal at the subwoofer preout on the reciver giving you two signals to the subwoofer for the best performance. I was wondering if you could just come out with one rca cable off the reciever and then just split it just before the subwoofer. I have a long run through walls, so just want to use one wire.

Any input would be great

thanks
