Hello experts. I'm building my first home theater system and need some speaker advice. I've decided on the Yamaha rx-v2500 reciever but haven't a clue on the speakers. I considered Infiniti tss-750's as a starter set, but many posts seem to suggest buying high-end stereo speakers and building from there. I only want to spend $600 - $750 right now, but will go a little higher if I need to. I prefer small satellites as my wife doesn't understand the need for any of this...

My room is 20 X 15 x 8, wood floors with an area rug and fairly well furnished (if any of this makes a difference)

Thanks for your advice.

Larenzo,

If you dont have any speakers yet, I would highly recommend visiting your local audio stores and listen to various speakers to see what sound/size combo best fits both you and your wifes requirements. Because you have a moderate room size, you'll want to push your 'wifey' to her limit on speaker size so you can fill that room adequately with sound.

Time to put on your 'salesman' hat, and start softening her up:-)
